Incorporated in 1992, Chosen Vision struggled for many years to raise the necessary funds required to operate a small licensed group home. Founder and initial Board President, Eleanor Toby, was instrumental in Chosen Vision’s formation and helped the organization obtain 501(c)(3) Federal Income Tax exemption.

In 2001, Chosen Vision realized its dream by entering a one-year lease on a relatively new, six-bedroom home located on two acres of countryside in Grand Ledge, Michigan. Through generous contributions, the mortgage on our Grand Ledge home was paid in full in 2006.

Since its inception, Chosen Vision, Inc. has received “outstanding performance” on all of our audits and surveys. This is attributed to our partnership with extremely qualified employees and providers whose talents, enthusiasm and dedication are exemplary.

With over ten years of success, the Chosen Vision board made the decision to expand its mission and build its second home in the DeWitt, Michigan area. On July 25, 2011 a groundbreaking ceremony for Chosen Vision’s future DeWitt home for six additional women took place.

The building process has been broken up in phases as building is completed when the funding is raised. Phase I is near completion as funding is continued through grants and individual donations.
