Chosen Vision - Dewitt(Construction in progress!)Nearly 2% of Michigan's citizens have developmental disabilities* As longevity increases in our society, the housing needs of a growing population of developmentally disabled adults far exceeds the number of facilities available. Chosen Vision is hoping to better accommodate this population through the addition of the new Dewitt home. Chosen Vision-Dewitt will be located at 1107 Turner Street, just south of downtown Dewitt. The 3800 square foot home will house six high-functioning, developmentally disabled women in a family environment that will give them independence within the supportive structure provided by our staff. Each of our residents will have their own bedroom and be able to decorate it as desired. We will have a 24/7, full-time staff person on site in addition to our part-time direct care workers to ensure the security and safety of our residents A portion of the $550,000 needed to build the DeWitt residence has been raised, allowing us to complete Phase I. With the exterior of this home fully completed, funding continues for Phase II, which will allow us to complete the drywall stage.
